I did a 13 hours workday yesterday...
the kiln is on and I can´t open it before tomorrow morning...
so it´s a day off with my new BF...a Pfaff Hobbylock 2.0

the shirt
( it´s too small or I´m too big :)
the plan
other materials : old shirts - laces - thread
the sewing test
( threading took 30 minutes ?! maybe it´s not so bad from a beginner )
the first brave cut...there´s no way back !
first layout
looks good to me
adding a size...or two...or three
not bad
can´t keep it simple...must add another lace too...
brave cut Nr. 2
brave cut Nr. 2
the colors look awful on the photos...but I really
shouldn´t complain : it was such a sunny day
and I was sewing beside the kitchen window...
so try to imagine the retro 70´s custard yellow with grays and black

O-la-la...I love it !
the last layer is sheer organza from a old dress
it´s almost ready...
should I do something with the neckline...
maybe I´m going to crochet a narrow lace around...or not...hmmm...
I have to sleep on it...

Hi Sissy !
VastaaPoistaVery nice, I love it !
Anne
thanks Anne! This is my very first creation and it is really comfortable to wear...maybe not in a restaurant but in the studio or at home. Next time I´ll try to sew on the wrong side of the shirt :)
VastaaPoistaIt looks great! Love the design elements :)
VastaaPoistaVery sweet I really like it. Maybe I should hang on to the shirts I just shrank in the dryer :(
VastaaPoistaSissy - that is wonderful - I love the different patterns and textures you used. You are VERY creative, I am not quite so, it's fun to watch you do these original things so well! Tina
